Uw
Heat transfer coefficient of the whole window (frame + glass). The lower the number, the better the insulation.
Thermal break
A polyamide strip separating the outer and inner parts of the profile to stop heat transfer.
Low-E glass
Glass with a thin metallic coating that reflects heat radiation.
Laminated glass
Two glass layers with a PVB film that prevents shattering when broken.
